Homeschool Science Classes - Homeschool Science Class: 3 months (December - February) Homeschool Science ClassesJoin us for an engaging, once-a-month homeschool science class designed to spark curiosity and inspire a love of nature and science! Each session focuses on a new topic, blending fun, hands-on activities with age-appropriate lessons.Ideal for homeschool families looking to integrate science experiences and social interaction with peers into their curriculum. Please find below an outline of our topics for each month.Hope you can join us! Who: Ages 5-10 years What: Home School Science Classes Where: PMEC 66 Brook Rd, Amherst, NH 03031 –When: The 3rd Tuesday of every month - from 9:00 am - 11:00 am * This is a drop-off class * We will need a minimum of 6 students * All classes will have an element of outdoor time.September – Blast Into FallGet ready to blast off into an exciting fall adventure as we explore the amazing world of rockets! In this class, we will dive into the science behind how rockets work, build simple rockets, and even launch our own mini rockets. Through fun experiments, stories, and creative activities, kids will discover the magic of space and the thrill of discovery. October- Discovering Fall LeavesJoin us for a colorful adventure into the world of fall leaves! In this hands-on science and nature class, kids will explore why leaves change color, learn to identify different types of trees by their leaves, and create leaf art. We'll go on a nature walk and use magnifying glasses to examine real leaves up close. Perfect for curious minds who love the outdoors, discovery, and a little bit of magic in nature! November – Animal Adaptations Students will explore how ecosystems transform during the fall season and how animals adapt to these changes to survive. We will talk about adaptations, migration, hibernation, food storage, and changes in physical traits.December - Owls & Winter BirdsSpread your wings and explore the world of owls and winter birds! Discover how these amazing creatures survive the cold, find food, and stay warm through the winter. We’ll learn about different owl species, listen to bird calls, and enjoy hands-on activities!January - Animal trackingBundle up and become a wildlife detective! Explore snowy trails and learn to identify animal tracks and signs. From tiny mice to sneaky foxes, every print tells a story about how animals survive the winter.February - The Science of Snow and IceGet ready to chill out with some cool science! Explore how snowflakes form, why ice is slippery, and what makes winter weather special through fun, hands-on activities.
