Safe Sitter® Babysitting Training Course (Ages 11-15)
Why take a safe sitter course?
Safe Sitter® is a medically-accurate, up-to-date babysitting course that teaches young teens life and safety skills. This course includes a copy of The Official Safe Sitter® Babysitter's Handbook for each registered participant which they will bring along on all accepted babysitting jobs.
After completing this course you will have knowledge in the following areas:
S- skills for airway rescue
A- Awareness of the responsibilities of child care
F- Focus on injury prevention and personal safety
E- Elementary knowledge of the ages and stages of child development
S- Systematic approach to injury management
I- Introductory interviewing and business skills
T- Techniques for basic child care
T- Techniques for behavior management
E- Ethical and compassionate babysitter conduct
R- Raised awareness of personal limitations and the importance of summoning help promptly
Who: Boys and Girls ages 11-15 (must be 11 by the start date of the program)

Where: PMEC- 66 Brook Rd Amherst, NH 03031
When: Tuesday, April 27th, 9:30am - 3:00pm
Please bring a lunch, and snack for 1 day courses, and a refillable water bottle.
Fee: $80R $95NR
--Course includes a participation manual, all necessary tests, and a graduation certificate after the course has been completed.
--Please Note: We will be following the proper state-directed and CDC guidelines, which includes physical distancing and face coverings. We will need a minimum of 6 students and maximum of 10 students allowed for each class. All classes will have an element of outdoor time; if weather is a factor we will be able to hold class inside while maintaining 6 feet apart.
Those enrolled in the Safe Sitter course can receive a $15 discount on the Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED course on April 28th. Please call 603-673-6248 for discount.
