It's the most wonderful time of the year in Amherst.... It's Halloween!
The Amherst Makerspace will be renting undecorated doors and 10 x 10 spaces on the Amherst Green for Halloween-loving groups or individuals to participate in the great event that is Halloween in Amherst! Halloween is always celebrated on October 31st.
You may rent a door and a space, or rent just the space and provide your own door. Decorate your door and space however you choose, in the spirit of this family-friendly holiday. All items other than the doors (if rented) must be provided by the participant and removed at the end of the night. Candy for Trick or Treaters is an expectation for this event.
Doors will be available for pickup before the event if you wish to decorate your door prior to October 31st. Otherwise, rented doors will be set up and on the Amherst Green ready to decorate. Trick or Treating will be from 5pm-8pm and all spaces need to be cleaned of everything but the rented doors, which will be picked up.
Businesses/Civic Organizations
Businesses are welcome to participate. We ask that you decorate your door in the spirit of the holiday and pass out candy. You are welcome to also pass out business cards or fliers with the Halloween treats.

A Few Helpful Tips for Door Spaces
*Bring a chair or stool. Children feel more comfortable approaching someone at their level.
*Doors should plan for at least 1,500 pieces of candy. If you run out, check with the other doors. We found everyone was happy to share and did not want to bring any hand-outs home!
*We ask that doors have an allergen free option such as stickers, toys etc (be aware of choking hazards though!)
