Intro to Meditation and Mindfulness in Nature series-

Looking for a way to calm the mind and find inner peace ?  This class will introduce sitting, walking, and standing meditation practices as a way to focus the mind, breath, and concentrate.  The health and psychological benefits of mindfulness and meditation particularly when in nature will be discussed and practiced.  The class will include yoga, different meditation techniques, nature observation, and a time for sharing our experiences.  The goal is to quiet the mind, let go of thoughts, and find peace and joy in daily life and in the natural world by practicing mindfulness.  Meditation is a way to connect your body with your mind by using the breath, mantras and other techniques.  As a result, you are more relaxed, open and able to fully enjoy life.

The program will include 3 evening classes which will cover meditation and mindfulness, health and wellness benefits, periods of meditation practice and yoga- and a two-hour meditation and mindfulness session on the trails at Peabody Mill Environmental Center.
