Woodworking: Make your Own Cutting Board

Here is your chance to explore this unique and diverse method of woodworking. With easy hands on instruction you can create your own cutting board with patterns of your choosing.

This course will help the average woodworker with average materials and the humblest of wood shops create unique and eye-catching wood creations in your own basement or garage.
Come join us as we explore and create woodart.

Program Details
Who: Ages 16+ 
What: Woodworking; make your own cutting board
Where: Amherst Makerspace
When: Saturday, April 22nd from 9am-3pm
Fee: $150R; $160 NR ($50 materials fee included)

More About Your Instructor!
Stephen Carey has thrived in a home shop for over 40 years, making unique wood art using average tools and supplies. He has 'been there and done that' on a budget and knows how to help fellow amateur woodworkers succeed.

Stephen’s involvement with woodworking began in a high school shop class and continues to this day, making woodworking a passion. He lectures in and around his home state of New Hampshire on such subjects as Segmented Wood Turning, Linear Radius Turning, Multi-Generational Concepts and Design, Shop Design & Development and Simple Holiday Gifts You Can Do At Home. The proud parent of 3 boys and husband to his wife Carol, they live in rural New Hampshire where he enjoys woodworking and fly-fishing. Stephen holds degrees in both business and theology.
