Baboosic Lake Rowing Club is offering a 5 session Learn To Row program for 7th-9th graders. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of rowing and will use rowing machines (ergs) to learn proper form and technique. Participants will then be on the water and putting those newly learned skills into a real boat experience.
BLRC has a competitive rowing club at SHS for high school students in both fall and spring seasons, and has also developed many of its rowers into collegiate athletes both nationally, and internationally.
Who: Grades 7-9
Where: Baboosic Lake (25 Broadway)
Dates: May 6, 13, 20, 27, June 3. 4:15-5:45pm
Please note- A minimum of one "classroom" fundamental day is required to go on the water.
Must be able to swim and tread water to participate.

Jim Kaveney, has been coaching rowing for over 20 years. His experience spans the high school, collegiate and masters level of rowing. He was one of the founders of the Baboosic Lake Rowing Club in Amherst and is excited to coach the next generation of rowers.
