Do you know someone interested in becoming a basketball referee?

The Amherst Rec Department invites you to a training for new basketball referees to learn the basics referee skills and the rules of the game. Our instructor is a patched basketball referee and has years of experience both as a ref and as an instructor. 

Anyone who participates in this training will have the opportunity to shadow and assist in refereeing with the Amherst Recreation Dept for this winter season. Please note that this is not a course to become a patched basketball referee. 

A basic knowledge of basketball is recommended. 

Who: Ages 13+
When: Saturday, December 4th. 9am-11:30am
Where: Souhegan High School Gym
Fee: $10R $15NR
