Creative Cooking for Tots: At Home Edition

The Creative Cooking for Tots program is for kids and parents and includes cooking inspired art projects that can be used for play time at home! Each week we will read a children's book related to cooking, create a cooking themed art activity and each participant will be given no bake recipe ideas to make at home. Art Pick up Bags will include the 3 projects and materials. A few at home materials are required (see below). A scheduled zoom lesson will accompany each project, and it will also be recorded should this work better for some participants. Bag pick up will be required curbside at the recreation department (4 Cross Street) a few days prior to first class. An email will be sent outlining pick up instructions.
Project One: Decorate Apron, color and glue food items to felt
Project Two: Decorate Chef Hat, decorate white paper bag
Project Three: Create placemat using contact paper and craft supplies
***sample recipes may include jelly flowers, cracker faces/people, food bugs snacks!
Who: Ages 3-6 (parent participation required)
Dates: Saturdays, April 11-25
Time: 9:00am via Zoom
At Home Materials Needed: scissors, tape, extra glue, cardboard piece to protect work space. Food items that may be needed to complete recipes include: crackers, popcorn, cheerios/cereal, bread, jelly, peanut butter, cheese stick, carrots/celery, raisins/craisins, chocolate chips, canned fruit cups.
