When it comes to preparing your children for the future, there are few better ways to do so than to help them learn to code! Code Wiz online classes helps kids develop critical problem-solving skills, perseverance, and focus. They will gain valuable 21st century skills that will serve them no matter what career path they choose. 

Roblox Coding- Students create their fairytale universe with Roblox Lua. In this course, your child and other passionate kids will learn how to code terrific games, relaying your imaginative capabilities to the world. Using the Lua programming language, they’ll learn fundamental coding concepts, how to design a 3D world, how to script different objects, and game development and planning.
Who: ages 8-11
When: Fridays at 3pm. January 8th- February 12th
Where: Via Zoom
Fee: $198R, $218NR
Computer Requirements: PC or Mac Laptop/Desktop

Minecraft World Builder - Minecraft economy has never been as exciting as Minecraft World Builder. In this popular course your student will work with others to run a city, manage money, and protect the environment, all within the 3D world of the popular game Minecraft. Instead of coding, students play Minecraft to develop presentation and teamwork skills and learn real-world economics, city planning, and life management.
Who: ages7-12
When: Tuesdays at 5pm. January 5th- February 9th
Where: via Zoom
Fee: $198R, $218NR
Computer Requirements - This class requires Minecraft Java edition to be installed on a PC or Mac Laptop/Desktop Computer. Minecraft Bedrock edition/windows 10 edition are not compatible.  
Software Requirements: CLICK HERE if you do not already have a Minecraft account. The cost of this is $26 and is in no way related to or benefits Code Wiz or Amherst Recreation.
