Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners
Research shows a regular meditation practice can reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and promote an overall sense of wellbeing.
Jon Kabat-Zinn describes mindfulness as "the awareness that arises from paying attention in a particular way". Join us as we explore the basics of a mindfulness meditation practice. We will practice using anchors and labels, noticing the value of present moment experiences, body scanning, guided meditation, and walking meditation.
Please note: This is a secular program. There is no counseling or therapy component to this class. This is an invitation to learn and practice meditation in a community setting.
