Welcome to Nature Explorers — where adventure and fun await!
At Nature Explorers, we explore the wonders of the great outdoors through hands-on learning and play. Each class is an exciting journey into different natural habitats and animals, helping children discover the amazing world around them.
Our time together will include:
- Story time to spark imagination and curiosity
- Circle Time for group discussion on a new nature-themed topic
- A fun activity that brings our topic to life
- And a take-home craft so your little explorer can continue the adventure at home!
Weather permitting, we’ll walk the Storybook Trail at the end for those who would like to join.
Join us as we play, learn, and grow in nature’s classroom!

Chenais
Hi, my name is Chenais (Sha-nay) and I’m so excited to be here. I live in town with my husband and two young children. We spend as much time outdoors as we can playing, learning, adventuring and exploring. I love teaching, and helping others. I look forward to being an educator at PMEC and expanding my knowledge of the outdoors.
Hello! My name is Carolyn; I live in town with my husband, two daughters, and son. I hold a B.A. in English Language and Literature and a Master of Education. From a young age, I’ve been captivated by elements of nature—bringing collections home from the beach or the mountains—and we’ve encouraged this same curiosity in our children. Recently, I’ve decided to pursue a career at PMEC that combines my love for nature with my background in education. I'm excited to be a part of the team! My hobbies include skiing, ice skating, hiking, paddleboarding, running, baking, writing, and the concept of hygge.
