This camp experience will allow students to travel around the world to learn about art and culture. We will learn about art forms from Mexico, Spain and America! Allow your child to discover or nurture their inner artist through exploring cultural art experiences and a variety of art materials. Students will walk away from this experience with a collection of guided and self-directed projects. We will use a variety of art techniques including painting, drawing, clay building, crafting and illustration. Each participant will also create a travel passport/travel journal highlighting art techniques from each region. DIY projects for this age group promote independence, inspire motivation and confidence, are fun, spark creativity and self-exploration. Camp DIY projects will include creating journal books/vision boards, jewelry making (using polymer clay), room décor projects, weaving, and more! We will incorporate a variety of materials and techniques including crafting, collage, clay, beads, drawing materials, and yarns/fabrics!
