Joshua's Park
Joshua's Park was donated to the Town in May of 2016 by the Amherst Land Trust.  The park includes a large playground suitable for ages 2-12, open fields and community gardens.  The Park is currently under construction and parts may be closed at unannounced times.  This is a wonderful park to spend a few hours playing on the playground and enjoying family time.  

Joshua's Park was named after Joshua Savyon.  Joshua was a young Amherst resident who was taken from us too early.  

Parking at Joshua's Park
Parking can be a safety concern when the parking lot is full and visitors park on the side of the road in front of the park. The Board of Selectmen at their meeting on April 10, 2017 encouraged all visitors to park on the grassy triangle between Courthouse Road and Middle Street. Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

Park Rules:
  • Joshua’s Park is open from dawn till dusk
  • Joshua’s Park is a “Carry In/Carry Out Park”.
  • Use of Joshua’s Park is “At Your Own Risk”.
  • Improper use of equipment is prohibited.
  • Playground equipment is suitable for ages 2-12.
  • Only those who have a plot, and their guests, shall enter the Stearns-Davis Community Garden area.
  • Playground equipment may be hot at times. Please use caution. 
  • The use of alcohol and tobacco products is prohibited.
  • No Glass of any kind is allowed in playground area.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash and are not allowed in the wood chipped area of the playground.
