Swim Lessons

Keep your lake day safe with Amherst Recreation Swim Lessons! Lessons follow the American Red Cross format. Each session of Swim Lessons is 8 classes held Monday-Thursday with Friday being a make-up date for weather cancellations. Please note that classes are held in the rain, but are cancelled for lightning and thunder. We will notify you of any cancellations. 

Please see schedule and prerequisite documents (links found below) to determine the best swim lesson for your child.

Swim Lesson Sessions:
Session 1: June 24 - July 5 *no classes 7/4
Session 2: July 8 - July 18
Session 3: July 22 - Aug 1
Session 4: Aug 5 - Aug 15
Groups Lesson Fee: $60R, $75NR

Private Swim Lessons: One on one instruction will be provided and our instructor will work with you to meet your swimming goals. We will NOT be able to split a lesson between 2 students. This program is available for all ages and abilities. Space is limited and will be available on a first come first serve basis. We are not offering evening lessons this summer. 
Private Lesson Fee: $90R, $105NR

Discount on Baboosic Lake Seasons Pass With the purchase of any session of swim lessons, you can get a one time $10 discount on a Baboosic Lake Season Pass. Please contact the Recreation Department to receive the discounted rate.

PLEASE NOTE: A Beach Pass (full season or daily) must be purchased in order to remain at the beach before the beginning and after the conclusion of swim lessons.
