Outdoor Discovery Summer Camp Register View Cart

This summer, Outdoor Discovery Camp is excited to offer a fun-filled camp focused on exploring the great outdoors and encouraging an appreciation for the natural environment. Amy Hull, PMEC Coordinator and her fun, creative staff is looking forward to making 2022 the most memorable summer ever!

Campers will need to bring: a labeled water bottle, change of clothes, bathing suit, towel, snacks, lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, closed toe shoes for hiking, sandals for water play. (More information can be found in the Parent Manual below).

What: Outdoor Discovery Camp, M-F 9-4pm (extended care is also available)

When: June 20th - August 12th 

Camp Fees: No refunds after June 1st

Full Summer Fee:
$1,850R; $2,190NR

Weekly Fee:
 $270R; $320NR

Daily Fee:
$65R; $75NR Daily registrations are non-refundable
 

Extended Care
:Due to staffing coverage registration must be made 24 hours prior to start time.  (Mini-Campers are welcome in Extended Care. Want more information on Mini-Camp for our 4 and 5 year olds? Click HERE

Daily Schedule
  • 7:00-9:00AM - Before Care
  • 9:00-9:30 AM - Check-In/ Gaga Ball
  • 9:30 AM - Group Meet and Daily Introductions
  • 9:30 AM - Community Time - We will have a large group game or activity
  • 9:45 AM - Snack Time
  • 10:00 AM-12:00PM - Theme Block Stations (specific to that week's theme!)
  • 12:00 PM - Lunch
  • 1:00-3:00 PM - Water Play or Hiking
  • 3:30-4:00 PM - Gaga Ball/Check-Out
  • 4:00PM-5:30PM - After Care

Weekly Themes
Camp Sampler (Week 1 June 20th- June 24th)
Come and meet your favorite PMEC/Outdoor Discovery Counselors and get a sneak peak of camp. Every day this week will be a different theme day from the Outdoor Discovery weekly themes below. Please note, there is no field trip this week.

Trash to Treasure (Week 2 July 27th - July 1st)
Learn how to use commonly discarded items and environmental materials to create beautiful pieces of art. Re-purpose items such as CD cases, yogurt containers, Popsicle sticks and more to create mosaics, birdhouses, etc.!

Holiday (Week 3 July 5th - July 9th NO CAMP on the 4th)
Come and celebrate Halloween in July... and while we're at it, all the major holidays! We may even create some new ones.

Olympics (Week 4 July 11th- July 15th)
Get ready to zoom through all the places on your travel bucket list! We will explore games and wildlife from different countries along with some Olympic style competitions! (Our field trip this week will be Field Day which is included with camp registration.)

Fantasy Land Fiction (Week 5 July 18th -July 22nd)
Got a favorite story? From Happy Potter to Marvel movies we'll spend the week creating new magical tales.

The Big Top (Week 6 July 25th- July 29th)
Come one, come all to the greatest show of the summer! We will make circus themed crafts to turn PMEC into a show-stopping event and end the week with a talent show.

Survivor (Week 7 August 1st- August 5th)
What would you do to survive being stuck on a desert island? For the week, camp will become the middle of nowhere as we work our way through challenges to determine who is the ultimate survivor!

H2-OH!! (Week 8 August 8th- August 12th )
Campers will explore different types of wetlands in the Joe English Conservation Land and the wildlife that lives there. WARNING, you will get wet and muddy!!

Camper Mask Policy
  • Campers will not be required to wear masks while outdoors
  • Unvaccinated campers are strongly encouraged to wear masks while indoors
  • Every effort will be made to keep campers 3 feet apart at all times
  • Campers should bring 2 masks with them to camp each day

COVID-19 Policies
We will monitor local and state COVID-19 policies and update mask and illness requirements closer to the start of camp.
