Creative Skill Building - Creative Skill Builders: Winter 2025 Session 2 An afterschool therapeutic educational program designed to assist children to develop social and emotional skills to support healthy development. These sessions will incorporate art therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, yoga, and nature-based experiences. Program Outcomes: assisting children to develop emotional literacy skills, increase body awareness, explore positive and negative feelings including how they manifest physically and emotionally, as well as develop coping strategies to manage daily life experiences. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens - Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens: Winter 2025 Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) is a research-based, skill building opportunity for young people to come together in a safe, small group learning environment. This therapeutic, educational support group will focus on building skills to help teens manage the myriad of demands they face today, including but not limited to: school, familial demands, peer relationships, self-imposed pressure, and much more. Benefits for participating in these group sessions include:
Developing skills that can help rewire the brain to focus on taking in the good (instead of focusing on the bad)
Incorporating mindfulness techniques and practices into their lives
Learning to cope with and manage stress better
Develop peer relationships and associated social skills in a small group setting
